InterClub 2014

WHAT A RESULT!!

Well you wouldn't believe it! After Warrnambool and Portland were trounced by Colac in 2013, both clubs had a resurgence and closed the gap substantially in 2014.  This year the South Western Interclub was held at Portland who put on an incredible afternoon and evening.  Hats off to Portland!

Well who won you ask, Colac of course.  The only thing was, even Colac were stunned that they won the night.  Warrnambool dipped out on the Shield by the smallest of margins being one point.  Considering that Warrnambool won 4 out of 7 sections, all were surprised that Colac retained the trophy. Portland put up a valiant effort with third place as they were only 8 points behind Warrnambool.  For all three clubs to be less than 10 points apart shows just how evenly balance the three clubs are.

For the record, Colac took out first place with 414 points with Warrnambool on 413 and Portland on 405.

Warrnambool Camera Club Crawl No. 2 - Port Fairy

15th September 1:00 PM - Wisharts at the Wharf

Please meet at Wisharts at the Wharf at 1:00 PM.  People looking to car pool please meet in Warrnambool at KFC and the old tourist information centre at 12:30 PM.  If you are able to assist in car pooling please contact a camera club committee member.

We will decide on the route once assembled at the Wharf but it is the intention of the group to have coffee at some point and probably in the town centre.  I would think that our stroll will take us to some interesting parts of Port Fairy and should finish around 4:30.

Hope to see you there.

Stan.

Camera Crawl.

Warrnambool Camera Club Photo Crawl.

Date: 4th August 2013 1:00 PM at Canon Hill.

We are holding a Photo Crawl for anyone interested in having the opportunity to take some photos of Warrnambools more iconic landmarks.

We will be meeting at Canon Hill at the two canons.  Once assembled you will have the opportunity the take photos of the landmarks at this location.

We will then wonder down Pertobe Road, past the playground and along the boardwalk to the Pavillion at the breakwater.  There will be plenty of photo opportunities and chances to talk to others about all things photographic.

We will stop at the Pavilion for afternoon tea (own cost) before heading over to Thunderpoint via the foot bridge at the mouth of the Merri.  Again there are some fantastic photo opportunities along the way.

The walk will end at Thunderpoint with a few cars available to transport people back to Canon Hill.

The walk is open to anyone keen on photography.  If you are interested in joining us along the way, please contact Stan McCullagh on 5561 4407.

What do I Need:
- Camera (any type)
- Good footwear.
- Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. (we encourage you to get down low to get another view point)
- Money for afternoon tea.
- A smile.

COST: This is a free event.

Capturing "screen shots" on a PC

I was raving on about how easy it is to grab a screen shot of anything on my Mac screen to a member last week. The response was a little bit -??????

So, for all you PC users out there - I found this article. You may want to take a couple of minutes reading it?

It looked quite helpful to me. Particularly using the Snipping method - which enables a screen shot of just a section of the screen, rather that the whole screen

Section of screen 'grabbed' from my Mac screen.
