First get together night success!

On behalf of everyone who turned up - many thanks Graham for organising the night. I'm sure it was most appreciated by all there.
I recall about nine of us being there. Conversations ranged all over - how to use my new camera, what does this mean, what do these settings do, what can I do with raw files; suggestions about cleaning, enhancing and saving images - and I believe we all had a great time. And we all learnt something as well!
I for one would like to see such nights become a regular feature of our club's activities. What do other members feel? Leave a comment here, or have your say at next general meeting. Thanks again Graham.

Thursday 9th April – Open Forum Night

The club rooms will be opened at 7:30 pm. Agenda – none. The idea is to provide members an opportunity to discuss and seek help on matters that there just isn’t enough time for on competition night. Possible discussions points could include
· Photoshop skills
· Suggestions on how to improve a picture of yours
· Bring a picture on a laptop or memory stick and see what others can do with it
· Bring your camera and ask how to use certain features of your new camera
· Ask about camera gear
· Discuss photo processing options
· Borrow magazines from the library
If the night is a success we may consider making the 2nd Thursday of the month a regular event. See you there.

April Competition Results

The set topic for this month was Decay. Congratulations to all place getters.
The photos displayed of the winners were handheld photographed using available light. The fishing line used to support the prints can be seen. Due to the way I did it the quality of the prints have not been fairly represented. Please take this as more of an overview and record of the night. Anybody not wishing to have their work displayed on the internet should contact Graham Dixon. Comments welcomed.
