Photoshop quicktip #10
When using the brush tool, have you ever had the brush turn into just a small cross and you can’t tell how big the brush is? If so, you have the caps lock on, just turn it off and all will be right.

The New Look Blog
As you can see I have been having a play with the blog over the last few days. If anyone is having problems viewing it on their screen please let me know.
I have tried to keep all the Club information on the left hand side - Contact information, Upcoming events and you can use the Label links as a quick way of finding information such as competition rules, results and set subjects without wading through the post archives.
Hope this makes the blog a bit more user friendly. If you have any suggestions of what you would like to see here, or if you have any information or photos you would like to post, let me know.

Photoshop quicktip #9
If you are using a mouse with a scroll bar you can set this to zoom in and out of your picture. This is not the default option. To set it go to edit – preferences – general and select the tick for zoom with scroll wheel.

Set Subjects for February (and Interclub)
Just a quick reminder about the set subjects for February (it will be here before you know it).
Colour - Macro ( Close up pictures taken within the range of less than 3 feet, up to a magnification of 10 times from the original negative. Microscope photography is excluded)
Monochrome - Abstract (A composition consisting of shapes which are not suggestive of any particular object. Natural and man made objects may be employed provided that they are not readily recognisable)
These are also the set subjects for Interclub so lets all get our thinking caps on and our shutter fingers clicking.
