The following report updates club members on what the AVGroup has discovered so far. This report lists the key points within APS/VAPS Rules that AV practitioners need to be aware of.
I've made my first A/V presentation! Lightroom has a slideshow function. All photos are displayed for the same length of time and there isn't a lot of customisation with it but for making something basic it seems to do okay.
That's good news Benjamin. All the photo editing programs that make slideshows do not give you much control over mixing images and audio together to fine tolerances. That's why we're checking out those programs listed on final page of this report. Stand by for updates.
Google's Picasa software is free and allows you to create various types of slideshows, including Time-Lapse, Pan and Zooms, Pan and Zoom on Face etc. You can add music, upload to YouTube. You can set the timings, titles, captions etc.
Hi The Doctor, Thanks for the heads up about Picasa's capabilities. I just had a very quick look over it and it certainly is a good option, for a free program.
Rodger what night do you have the AV meetings? I started out with Proshow gold, and have updated to producer, I am very happy with it. Ron Cork is a great help if you have any problems and is happy to visit Warrnambool again, I have had recent contact with him. I can show you what I have done on producer if you would like. Roxio also has a slideshow program !
Hi Rhonda, AV group is not holding regular meetings yet - just a bunch of four of us looking at pros and cons of producing AVs - no particular direction or structure yet. We may discuss when to hold our next meeting at club meeting on Thursday 5 April . Come along if you can.

Hello again Benjamin,
I really like your AV presentation - the music works really well with the images.
